SAFARI SCHEDULE

Day 1: Nairobi City Tour – Nairobi National Park, DSWT & Giraffe Centre

Your adventure begins with a fascinating introduction to Kenya’s wildlife right in the capital city. Start early with a game drive inside Nairobi National Park, one of the only protected areas in the world bordering a major city. Look out for lions, rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and a wide range of bird species framed against Nairobi’s skyline.Afterwards, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) for the elephant orphan program, where you’ll learn about elephant conservation and watch rescued baby elephants being fed and playing in the mud.Continue to the Giraffe Centre, where you can meet the endangered Rothschild giraffes, feed them from raised platforms, and learn about their conservation story. End the day with a relaxing evening at your hotel.

Day 2: Fly Nairobi to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scenic flight over the Great Rift Valley to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to your camp or lodge with wildlife sightings along the way.After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive, introducing you to the Mara’s incredible wildlife population elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and abundant plains game. Enjoy sundowners with sweeping views of the savannah before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara in depth. Set out with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting the Big Five and other iconic species. Visit key areas such as the Mara River, known for crocodiles, hippos, and during migration season the dramatic wildebeest crossings. Your guide will share insights about animal behavior, landscapes, and the Mara ecosystem. Optional experiences include a Maasai village visit for cultural insights or a sunrise hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast (optional extra).

Return to your camp in the evening to relax around a bonfire under the stars.

Day 4: Fly Maasai Mara to Amboseli

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to Amboseli National Park, known for Africa’s largest elephants and the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.Arrive in time for lunch and settle into your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive through Amboseli’s open plains and marshlands, with excellent chances to photograph elephants up close. On clear days, capture the iconic image of wildlife moving across the plains beneath snow-capped Kilimanjaro.

Day 5: Amboseli Safari

Start your day early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. Explore Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park, and visit the swamp areas frequented by elephants, buffalo, hippos, and a variety of birds.

Return to your lodge for lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon. You may spend the afternoon enjoying the pool, photographing Kilimanjaro, or simply resting as you soak in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 6: Fly Amboseli to Diani Beach

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the coast. Touch down at Ukunda/Diani Airstrip, where the warm tropical breeze welcomes you to one of Africa’s most beautiful beaches.

Check in to your beach resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure walk along the soft white sand, take a dip in the turquoise waters, or explore the hotel’s amenities. The evening is free for you to enjoy the coastal ambience and fresh seafood.

Day 7: Diani Beach 

Enjoy a relaxing day in paradise. Diani offers both tranquility and adventure.Spend the day sunbathing, swimming, or indulging in spa treatments.

For those seeking activities, optional excursions include:

  • Snorkeling or diving at Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park

  • A dhow cruise to Wasini Island

  • Jet skiing, kite surfing, or paddle boarding

  • A visit to the Colobus Conservation Centre

Return to your resort for a peaceful evening by the ocean.

Day 8: Diani Beach 

Another full day to enjoy Diani. Take this time to unwind, explore the coastline, or embark on optional excursions such as deep-sea fishing, quad biking, camel rides on the beach, or a local village tour for cultural interaction.

End the day with a walk on the beach as you enjoy one of Diani’s breathtaking sunsets.

Day 9: Fly Diani to Nairobi.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, connect to your international flight or continue with onward travel arrangements. This marks the end of your unforgettable Kenyan safari and beach holiday.
