Tour Schedule

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north across the equator into Samburu County, a region rich in cultural heritage and dramatic landscapes. The journey takes you through fertile highlands and eventually into the rugged, semi-arid terrain of northern Kenya. Arrive in Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across this unique reserve, which is home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Spend the entire day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is renowned for its stunning landscapes of rugged hills, acacia woodlands, and the Ewaso Nyiro River, which draws elephants, crocodiles, and other wildlife. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the over 350 bird species found here. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and soak in the wilderness views. Optional cultural visits to a Samburu village can be arranged, offering insights into the traditions and lifestyle of this proud semi-nomadic community.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi
