Amboseli National Park |
Oltukai Lodge |
Amboseli National Park, located in southern Kenya near the border with Tanzania, is one of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Famous for its large herds of elephants that roam the open savannah, the park offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, rising majestically in the background. Beyond elephants, Amboseli is home to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a rich variety of bird species, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike. Its unique ecosystem of open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands provides excellent opportunities for game drives, especially during early morning and late afternoon when animals are most active. Amboseli is not only a haven for wildlife but also a place where visitors can experience the stunning natural beauty of Kenya’s landscapes and the culture of the local Maasai communities who live around the park.
