05:00 a.m. – Depart Nairobi
Begin your journey early to maximize your time in the park. Drive through the scenic Nairobi–Mombasa Highway, passing local towns like Emali. The drive takes about 4–5 hours.
09:00 a.m. – Arrive at Amboseli National Park
Check in at the park gate, and start your morning game drive. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) and look out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of birds. Amboseli is especially famous for its large herds of elephants.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch at a lodge or picnic
Have lunch at one of the park lodges or picnic at the Observation Hill, which offers panoramic views of the park and the swamps below where elephants and hippos gather.
01:30 p.m. – Afternoon Game Drive
Continue exploring the park’s open plains and wetlands. Visit Enkongo Narok swamp or Ol Tukai area, known for rich wildlife concentrations and excellent photography opportunities.
03:00 p.m. – Depart Amboseli for Nairobi
Begin the return journey, enjoying the changing landscapes as you leave the park.
07:30 p.m. – Arrive in Nairobi
