Tulia Amboseli Safari Camp is an eco-friendly safari camp just outside of Kimana Gate in the southeast area of the Amboseli National Park in Kenya.
As a small, tented camp, Tulia offers an intimacy like no other camp in the area. Each tent opens to Mt Kilimanjaro and offers wonderful views of both sunrise and sunset. The welcoming restaurant and lounge overlook a very active waterhole where daily visits from elephant, giraffe, zebra, eland, cheetah, lion, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, gazelle, waterbuck, gerenuk among others, offers guests an up close, intimate experience.
Tulia Amboseli Safari Camp began an extensive renovation, under new management, in Dec 2021. In addition to tent upgrades, a new kitchen, staff and driver housing, office, washrooms and upgraded restaurant and lounge are all in the works. Solar water heaters have been installed, providing hot water 24-hours/day, and a fully integrated Solar system, powers the camp 23.5 hours/day, with energy generated from the sun.
As ‘Tulia’ is Swahili for ‘Calm’ and ‘Peaceful’, we found it an appropriate name for this intimate tented camp.
Our new Deluxe Safari tents each have their own plunge pool sunken into the large front deck! The large tents offer one Queen or two Twin beds, a sitting area, desk, large bathroom with toilet, double sinks and rainfall shower.
Relax and watch the game at the watering hole from your large front deck or in your own plunge pool with Mt Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.
